Background of the project

This was recently done for Property Management Software based out of the USA. They were in to B2B SaaS and we handled their Community management:

This was a decade old company with age old tactics
The customer acquisition channel was very dry
No customer nurturing mechanism
No branding activities

The idea was to think within the box and pull prospective eyeballs to a group of UGC contents. Where they can get exposure to contents that fall within the niche of Client without looking salesy. Community management was the best way to go about it.

Challenges before working

Before we started our work, the company was about to plunge into a sea of competition. The niche itself is competitive and the ideal ICP of customers were Property Managers, Landlords, both of which were read sea.

They were B2B so wanted to craft their Social Media Marketing with a creative touch and solid designing that will appeal to the masses. That’s why we decided to grow a closed follower base for indirect branding

What did we do?

Here is the complete process that we followed:

We analysed the existing communities on the forum and found that there’s a market for this industry. The only challenge that we had was it was too competitive and needed to be authentic in order to work.

We worked in three parts:

1. In-Community Content Strategy

2. External Community Content Strategy

3. Engagement

Since the SEO as well as SMM was already being done, that accounted for nearly 1% of the traffic as there was no direct backlinks from either of the efforts

In-Community Content Strategy

Keywords were researched and strategically put into the caption body. Even though it’s not as effective and controlled as SEO, it did have some impact due to the forum’s DR.
Contents were researched thoroughly from other UGC sites.
Several accounts were made in-house to boost up the engagement algorithm.
